PureVPN Brings Faster Speeds than Ever with its 20Gbps Server Upgrade

PureVPN, a highly-rated VPN provider, has upgraded its server infrastructure in three key locations. The company recently announced that it has added new 20Gbps servers in the United States and the United Kingdom. It plans to upgrade more servers to 20 Gbps by the end of this year to improve connection speeds and the overall VPN experience for its customers.

The new high-speed servers have boosted speed by 2X in these locations, according to initial tests conducted by PureVPN. Customers will see massive speed improvements when connecting to the upgraded servers in London, Manchester and Washington DC, which are considered to be some of the most popular VPN hotspots in the world.

Last year alone, PureVPN upgraded most of its server infrastructure, including several US and UK locations to 10Gbps servers. That’s not all, the VPN service also upgraded their Australian servers to 10Gbs, resulting in improved speeds and making it one of the fastest VPN providers in the region.

PureVPN, in an effort to improve their VPN infrastructure further, has also discontinued dozens of virtual servers from their network. As a result, nearly all PureVPN servers are now physical servers – these are more reliable than virtual servers and capable of delivering faster speeds. However, there are some benefits of virtual servers as well.
For example, virtual servers are particularly ideal for locations where having physical servers isn’t possible. PureVPN decided not to remove the remaining virtual servers from their infrastructure based on user feedback, which indicated that these servers were still in use by many customers for various purposes.
Until an alternative solution is found and implemented, these virtual servers (around 69, to be exact) will remain a part of the VPN’s server network. As a result of these changes, 98.7% of PureVPN’s 6,500+ servers in 78+ countries are now 100% physical.

PureVPN’s clients support a wide range of must-have privacy and security features, including Internet kill switch, secure 256-bit AES encryption, split tunneling, IPv6 land WebRTC leak protection, and more. There’s also support for forwarding support and dedicated IP addresses that can be added as add-ons.
The VPN service, which has been part of the industry for 14 years, is also a trusted member of the Internet Infrastructure Coalition and the VPN Trust Initiative. Furthermore, the company has received no-log certifications from KPMG (twice), verifying PureVPN’s privacy promises for the second year in a row. The VPN has an excellent rating at TrustPilot.

PureVPN is available for all major desktop and mobile operating systems, Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iPhone and iPad, as browser extensions for Firefox , Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome (works on other Chromium-based browsers as well), and for other products such as Amazon’s Fire Stick or Kodi.

Setup instructions are provided on the PureVPN website for all supported operating systems, devices and products.
